Trees of My City is an artistic multimedia installation about the hidden beauty and ecological purpose of dormant, dead and decaying trees over four seasons in one American City -- Newton, Massachusetts.
Through high definition video, unusual photographic perspectives, timelapse, underwater and aerial photography, digital compositing and surround sound audio, audiences will experience trees in unexpected ways and have their consciousness raised about their urban treescapes.
Science Segments
Notable members of the science, naturalist and tree communities provide expert audio/video commentary in Trees of My City. They include: Kevin T. Smith, Ph.D., Project Leader, USDA Forest Service; Eric J. Olson, Ph.D., Brandeis University; Simon A. Perkins, Field Ornithologist and John DelRosso, Head Arborist, Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University.
